Chamber awards go to 20 students
college students.
During the recent awards reception at The Princess Hotel, Chamber president Mr. Louis Mowbray told the recipients "education does not stop at school it begins there''.
"This is an important programme. It encourages attendance and promotes attendance in educational institutes. There are 20 recipients entering Bermuda College and one taking an insurance certificate for the Bermuda Insurance Institute.'' Presenting the awards, Education Minister the Hon. Clarence Terceira told the group that Bermuda, both through Government and the private sector, gave more awards than any other country.
The recipients received grants in various areas, including business administration, nursery training, computer science, arts and science, child care and geriatric nursing.
