Charity Christmas cards on sale early
already thinking Christmas and has put its 1992 cards on sale.
There are four designs in this year's collection, all featuring a unique Bermudian theme and created by well-known resident artists: No Laughing Matter by popular cartoonist Peter Woolcock; Poinsettias by Molly D. Smith; St.
Mark's Church by Nancy Smythe; and A Bermuda Christmas by Bruce Stuart.
The cards are available to businesses as well as individuals, and the League will also co-ordinate special printing requirements, which take several weeks to complete.
For the past 15 years, Christmas cards have proved a successful fund-raiser for the League, a registered charity.
In the last three years alone, $16,000 was raised from the sale of over 60,000 cards, with the proceeds being distributed to local charities such as PALS, STAR, Hope Homes and the King Edward Hospital's CARE campaign.
From artwork solicited in early March the final selections are made in April, with the cards going on sale by August.
