Choir of King's College kicks off Festival 2000
Cambridge.
The choir will perform Saturday and Sunday under the direction of Stephen Cleobury at the Ruth Seaton James Centre for Performing Arts with six players from Fretwork.
On January 10, the choir will make a solo appearance.

*** The Bermuda National Gallery will host Coffee With the Arts this weekend.
Saturday's event, which begins at 10 a.m., will feature poetry readings by VJ Steede and Lauren Francis.

*** The Friends of the Library's series, Read Around the World, will this month explore Japan.
Children between the ages of 9 and 14 years, are welcomed to `travel' to Japan on January 22 at 2 p.m.
The two hour journey departs from the Youth Library and will cost $5.
Travellers will learn great facts and enjoy great food from this beautiful and exotic part of the world.
Registration tickets are currently on sale. Book early to avoid disappointment.
*** The Bermuda Rose Society will hold its monthly meeting this Friday at the Arrowroot Factory at the Botanical Gardens in Paget.
The meeting will commence at 10.30 a.m. and will feature a slide show entitled `Public Rose Gardens of Europe'.
Bench entries will be accepted between 8.30 and 9.15 a.m.
All interested persons are welcome.
*** The Masterworks Foundation will hold a Family Day at the Bermuda Society of Art this weekend.
The event, which gets underway at noon and continues until 4 p.m., will take place in the main gallery at the City Hall and Arts Centre in Hamilton.
The afternoon will be an opportunity to preview a unique art collection, inspired by Bermuda, before it goes overseas for an exhibition tour.
The exhibition features works by Winslow Homer, Georgia O'Keeffe, Charles Demuth and many others who found inspiration in Bermuda.
