College students honoured
graduates.
President David Rowntree, making the annual presentation of education grants, said they were given to students who took the initiative to retrain.
Chamber Education Committee chairman Debby Graham presented three outstanding Bermuda College students with their awards.
LaMohn Smith completed an Associate in Arts with distinction and plans to go to Acadia University.
Lefawn Wilson graduated with merit in the Certificate for Professional Chefs.
She hopes to become Bermuda's best pastry chef.
And Carl Roberts completed the Certificate in Air Conditioning and Refrigeration with a G.P.A. of 2.95.
Receiving education grants were Joanne Adams, Valerie Adams, Laverne Brangman, Mary Anne Davy Robin, Leila Dill, Louise Hill, Nikeisha Joell, Maria Jones, Beryin Lee, Maxine Lee, Demika Swan, Barbara Tucker, Oronde Walker and Roberta Lovell.
