Comedian says laughter is the family solution

One of Bermuda's newest comedians is back with a one-man extravaganza to make people laugh -- and think.

In Jarizhino Simmons' second solo performance, "One of 'Da Fam-lee'', the 21-year-old promised to challenge his audience.

This year's performance puts the audience in the star's living room as his fictional family members take turns to address -- and interact with -- the crowd.

But Mr. Simmons warned that the six characters -- which include a 70-year-old grandfather, a child suffering from Downs Syndrome and a homeless man -- were not the type of people whose voices are normally heard.

And the local talent of Kion Simmons, Zahra Jabbar, Zakia Tuzo, Ninja Cutty, the Bermuda Gombeys, and Diamonds in the Rough will make cameo appearances throughout the play.

Part of the proceeds from the show, which begins at 8 p.m. tomorrow and Saturday night at the City Hall, will go to Pride and Agape House.

Tickets are $20 and are available from Spence Hair Design, the 27th Century Boutique or from the City Hall box office on the day of the performance.

For further information please call Mr. Simmons at 293-3539 or 293-4609.
