of $2,000 from Air Care Ltd. and its employees.

At the company's annual Christmas party, on December 10, Air Care workers presented the charity with $500 they had raised themselves.

The company matched the amount, but Air Care employee Mr. Damon Mussenden, typified the real meaning of Christmas when he voluntarily donated his own well-deserved money to the charity.

Mr. Mussenden, an air-conditioning and refrigeration technician, was chosen as the company's employee of the year.

In recognition of this achievement he was presented with a plaque and a cheque for $500.

Instead of pocketing the money, Mr. Mussenden turned around and gave it to the League.

And in the true spirit of the season, Air Care Ltd. matched the amount of the cheque and presented the children's charity with another $500, making a grand total of $2000.

League vice president Ms Lauren King said the money will go toward major renovations at the centre.
