the newly-formed International Charitable Fund of Bermuda, Inc.

The organisation will act as an umbrella through which Americans can make tax deductible gifts to Bermudian charities.

ICFB president Mr. Tom Conyers said such deductibles will not only influence the dollar level of the gift but will also add to the credibility and accountability of the charity.

"We are trying to make it easier for Americans that give to Bermudian causes.'' Mr. Conyers said.

Five different charities will receive money from the donation of an undisclosed amount in order to address the various social issues on the Island, Mr. Conyers added.

the Bermuda College's Dr. Fred Ming, Meals on Wheels' Mrs. Dorothea Butterfield, ICF trustee Mrs. Nancy Smythe, Mr. Farmer, trustee Ms Margaret Hern, the Sunshine League's Mrs. Lauren King, and ICFB president Mr. Tom Conyers.
