Cruise ships back at full strength
The Island's ocean traffic has returned to normal following last week's stormy weather which prevented a number of ships making their regular stops.
The Nordic Empress arrived at Dockyard at approximately 1 p.m. yesterday having sailed from New York, and is due to sail back on Friday.
The Pacific Princess arrived at Penno's Wharf, St. George's at 1.30 p.m.
having sailed from New York, and it will also sail back on Friday.
The Norwegian Majesty arrived yesterday morning and is due to leave on Friday for Boston.
The Zenith arrived on Monday from New York with 1,316 passengers and is due to leave tomorrow afternoon.
A cement ship, the Melena is expected to arrive at the commercial berth in Dockyard tomorrow.
A Shell Tanker, the Tikhoretsk will make a brief stop at Dockyard before unloading fuel at the oil docks at Ferry Reach, St. George's.
Harnett and Richardson is expecting the Panamanian-flagged car ship, Comet Ace to arrive from Port O' Prince, Haiti tomorrow, unload 124 vehicles and 12 packages of spare parts, and leave the same day bound for Nassau, Florida.
The Oleander arrived in Hamilton from Port Elizabeth, New Jersey on Sunday with 140 dry containers and 36 refrigerated containers.
The ship also transported one Mafi (a type of trailer), six flatbeds, 17 cars, two trailers and one excavator and left the Island yesterday morning.
The Somers Isles arrived from Florida yesterday with 144 containers and is due to leave today.
The Bermuda Islander arrives tomorrow morning from Salem New Jersey with 102 containers, and is due to leave on Friday morning.
The motor yacht Soulmate paid a brief visit to the Island on Saturday night, leaving Sunday morning.
