Dance Theatre putting on gala event
next Monday.
Part one of the evening, which takes place at the Ruth Seaton James Auditorium, features eight exciting dance performances from 7.30 to 8.15 p.m.
During the second part of the evening everyone in invited to dance in the spacious lobby to the swinging sounds of the Doug Frith's Band.
Tickets for the July 26 event are $40 and can be obtained from the Visitor's Service Bureau between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m.
*** The 14th Annual Youth Road Show, `Puppets', will head to the East End of the Island this week.
The youngsters will take to the stage this Thursday at 7.30 p.m. at King Square in St. George's.

*** The Bermuda Culinary Team will go for gold in next week in the Taste of the Caribbean competition.
And to prepare, the team will hold a final practice dinner this Saturday before flying off to Miami for the July 28 to August 2 competition.
The 13 member-team will fine tune their skills by preparing a dinner for patrons according to the strict rules that will govern them at the international competition.
Competitors will be given a mystery basket of ingredients in which they will have 45 minutes to determine and design a menu.
"As only one person will know the ingredients in each basket are, this evening will truly be a surprise for everyone,'' said Taste of Bermuda chairman Graham Redford.
Saturday's event will also feature hors d'oeuvres prepared by the junior team and cocktails by the Taste of Bermuda's Bartender competition winner Delvin Caines.
Tickets for the Final Tasting Dinner are $75 and can be purchased by calling 295-4558. Proceeds will be used to help fund the team's travel and competition expenses.
*** The Somers Lioness Club will mark their 10th anniversary with a banquet later this week.
The guest speaker for the event will be Supreme Court Judge Norma Wade-Miller.
