Mr. Dill was responding to a speech at a PLP rally on Thursday night by Rev.

According to the Education Minister, Government gives out some $6 million annually through scholarships, loans and other financing schemes. He estimated that about $2 million a year is currently available through private sector scholarships.

"I cannot stress the importance of this effort enough,'' said Mr. Dill, adding that he was, "very proud,'' that Government funding for higher education assistance had been increased from $4 million to $6 million a year during his tenure as Education Minister.
