Duty break for disabled drivers

Under the Motor Car Act there are exemptions for the handicapped -- but not groups who cater for them.
Among organisations which will benefit are the Bermuda Physically Handicapped Association.

The amendment will mean organisations will not have to pay customs duty, or licence fees.
Currently there are three vehicles specially fitted to transport the disabled.
Mr. Marshall said he expected only one or two more to be licensed.
The annual loss of revenue from the move will be about $545.50 per vehicle.
