Walkers given chance to tune-up People taking part in this year's charity End to End walk can limber up this weekend with a practice walk.

Walkers will trek the 15 miles from Dockyard to Hamilton on Saturday in a bid to get into their stride for the real thing on May 6. A special ferry is scheduled to leave Hamilton this Saturday at 6.45 a.m. for those that need transport and the walk will begin at 7.30 a.m. There will be water stops along the route.

Walkers are urged to get as many pledges as possible to help contribute to this year's charities, including the Physical Abuse Centre, The Teen Haven, TB Cancer & Health Association, St. George Parish Rest Home and Hands of Love Ministry.

Pledge forms can be picked up at any Bank of Bermuda branch, Phoenix Stores, MarketPlace stores, the Sportseller, the Sports Locker and all Esso service stations.

The final practice walk, which will be eight miles, will take place on Sunday, April 30, from Albouy's Point. the End to End hotline at 299-8885.
