Our members are helping professionals who provide comprehensive counselling services Islandwide.

Our Mission Statement is: To enhance human development throughout the life span. In addition, we promote quality and effectiveness of counselling to individuals, families and groups.

We are celebrating Counselling Awareness Month for the entire month of April by engaging in the following activities.

1. Participating in the Public Health Forum at City Hall April 1-4, 1998.

2. Hosting a free seminar on stress management from 12 to 1 p.m. on April 22, 1998 at Wesley Methodist Hall. Speaker -- Elizabeth Hays.

3. Distributing posters in businesses, schools and libraries.

4. Presentation at Kiwanis by Saadia Bean on the benefits of counselling.

5. Information in The Royal Gazette i.e. Fact Sheet, Article and Letters to the Editor.

7. Discussions on parenting at various school PTA's.

These events all tie in with Public Health Issues and Child Abuse Prevention.
