Q: Do you walk generally, or was this a special effort? Ans: I generally walk as much as I can, but the middle to the end was a special effort.
Q: Did you enjoy it? Ans: I very much enjoyed it.
Q: What was the hardest part for you? Ans: The last 3 or 4 miles when I was suffering from the cramps.
Q: Like most walkers, did you ever think it would end? Ans: Yes, but I persevered.
Q: What gave you such strength and determination to succeed? Was it ever tempting to accept some of the offers of a lift you got towards the end? Ans: I received my strength to do the walk from my steadfast determination. I refused all rides despite my discomfort that was caused by my cramps.

Q: Were your friends and family cheering you on? Ans: Yes. Everybody was cheering me on.
Q: What did your wife Mary thing of your decision to walk? (No doubt, she is very used to your "never give up'' philosophy).
Ans: My wife, Mary, is always very encouraging in everything that I do. She is proud of her husband and celebrate in my accomplishments.
Q: I was there at the end when you came in to Dockyard and you didn't seem unduly stressed. In fact, I thought you were remarkably upbeat, although basically tired like everyone else. How wee your feet? No blisters, I hope! Ans: I had no blisters on my feet.
Q: Were you waling for a particular charity, or just to contribute generally? Ans: I was walking for charities in general.
Q: Would you do it again? Ans: Most definitely, yes! Maybe I will do the End to End one day.
