Author of ten publications embroidery techniques and fabric manipulation, professor Morrell has extensive teaching experience and was a pioneer for embroidery as an art form in the UK.

She lectures widely and conducts courses throughout the UK, USA, Canada, Netherlands and Australia.

Also writing under the name Anne Butler, the subject matter in her publications include "Encyclopaedia of Embroidery Stitches'', "Techniques of Indian Embroidery'' and Comtemporary Embroidery: Exciting and innovative art''. She also has work published in numerous books and catalogues.

Her work is represented in many museums and private collections. In addition to international exhibits, Professor Morrell now acts as a consultant in many arts and crafts organisations, including The Calico Museum of Textiles in Ahmedabad, India.

The embroidery workshops will take place on February 21 and 22 and the fabric manipulation workshop will take place on February 28 and March 1 from 10 a.m.

to 4.30 p.m. Cost $75 members, $85 non members for each workshop.

On March 14 and 15 the centre will be holding Painting Flowers in Acrylics Workshops with Diane Whittaker.

Concentrating on painting flowers using acrylics, Ms Whittaker will take the class outside to study flowers and leaves.

Cost $50 members, $60 non-members. From 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Bermuda Arts Centre at Dockyard.
