The event, entitled "Nine Parishes in Unity'', was scheduled for September 19. But due to inclement weather it had to be postponed.

Organiser Molessia Joynes said: "We feel this event is important in bringing the entire community together for some family fun.'' The event, to be held in King' Square and Ordnance Island, will run from noon to 9 p.m.

It will feature performances by school and church choirs, a fashion show, and a production by Midland Drama called "Twiggy Goes to Broadway''.

Admission to the family fun day is free and there will be a variety of refreshments for sale with proceeds going to Big Brothers and Big Sisters of Bermuda.
