January 31 at the Pembroke Community Centre at 6 p.m. Dinner tickets are $20 and are available from True Reflections and Jo Loris Gift Shop.

The competition is open to all residents. Judging will take place at 7.30 p.m.

and entrants are asked to ensure their participation by getting details from Dale Butler during the evenings at 236-9841.

There will be numerous prizes and a twist competition to keep things going.

*** On Saturday, February 14, the Coalition for the Protection of Children will be hosting its first gala fundraising ball.

The black tie event will be held at the Marriott Castle Harbour Hotel with dinner and dancing to the sounds of Legacy.

Guests are invited for a night of romance, with great prizes of jewellry, exotic trips and fine art. A silent auction will be held and couples are encouraged to stay on at the Marriott for the night with brunch included on Sunday morning.

The Coalition for the Protection of Children, a charitable foundation established in 1992, represents the collaborative efforts of a number of groups and individuals including paediatricians, social workers and psychologists among others, who are dedicated to providing services which will ensure a safe, positive, nurturing and healthy environment for the children of Bermuda in their homes and in their classrooms.

The Coalition's projects include Conflict Resolution and Mediation and operation of the Institute for Child and Family Health (a treatment centre for children and their families).
