homelessness in Bermuda.

The title is `Rags to Riches' and the show will be held every Thursday from July 3 to July 24 travelling from Dockyard to St. George's.

The venues will be PHC, North Village field at Bernard's Park, and St.

George's Square starting at 7 p.m. There will be about 50 participants this year.

Laurel Burns, who is the co-director with Patricia Pogson, said this year the theme of the road show, which is organised by the Department of Youth, Sport and Recreation, is about the homelessness in Bermuda and the kids performing also helped to write the show.

"There will be acting, dancing and singing of some original music and for the first time this year the show will be international as we will be taking it to St. Lucia in August,'' Ms Burns said.

She added that last year "we had a participant from St. Lucia and when she moved back her parents encouraged their community to have the road show there.

"We have a lot of sponsors but we still need to raise a lot of money. The Warwick Gombeys will also be participating and they will also go on the trip.'' *** During the past school year, 12 members of the community have provided invaluable support to students at the Department of Education's Learning Support Centre (LSC).

The LSC is based at the old Woodlands school site and has provided academic and behavioural support for approximately 18 students this school year.

Members of the community have volunteered their time helping therapists with classroom management, recess and lunch breaks, facilitating group sessions donating supplies and providing day release placements for students at the Centre.
