Gift shop proves to be a trusting friend

Welcome boost: One of the fundraising arms of the Bermuda National Trust proved its importance with a donation of $40,000 yesterday.

Patsy Phillips, chairman of the Trustworthy Committee which runs the Trustworthy Gift Shop said that the donation came as a result of changes to the Trustworthy business.

This is a more significant gift than usual due to the fact that we have streamlined our shop operation now that we no longer have our Queen Street location in Hamilton,'' said Ms Phillips.

"However, our craft workshop and the museum shop in St. George's continue to be in full swing.'' According to Ms Phillips a special Christmas shop will open later in the year.

"We are well known for our fabulous Christmas items, so we thought we would stay focused on that aspect for this year,'' she said.
