concert this weekend to raise funds for the Family Resource Network.

Dee Martin will be singing jazz, pop, broadway and R&B along with Tom Ray, Stan Gilbert, Ronnie Lopes, Kenneth Dill, Delettea Gillespie and Jackie Robinson Smith on Sunday evening.

Ms Martin sang professionally for a number of years and originally came to Bermuda in 1982 as a singer for the international show at the Palm Reef Hotel, formerly the Inverurie Hotel.

She has been working as a clinical psychologist for the past six years, but still continues to sing in her spare time.

As a member of the counselling profession, Ms Martin said she realised the importance of the Family Resource Network as a "cornerstone for incredible work in the community''.

She decided to use her musical talents to raise funds for the organisation to benefit children who are affected by abuse.

The concert is from 5.30 to 7.30 p.m. at the Neptune Lounge of the Southampton Princess.
