The dinner and dance, which is held at the Marriott's Castle Harbour Resort, is labelled "the ball of the year'' and raises thousands of dollars for the physically disabled.

Public relations officer of Project 100 Mrs. Emancia Outerbridge said this year's theme is `Starlight'.

"The ball, which will be on November 19, appeals to a wide cross-section of the community,'' Mrs. Outerbridge said. "All the prizes in the Project 100 raffle have been donated by various businesses and airlines. They include trips, cars, jewellery etc. Members of the public have been very generous in purchasing raffle tickets and those who attend the ball will have fun for a worthy cause.'' Mrs. Outerbridge said that this year's entertainment would be provided by the well-known Bob Hardwick Sound from New York.

The Bob Hardwick Sound has become one of the top society dance orchestras in the US with bookings last year in 20 states and over 40 cities in the US as well as overseas.

The orchestra, which played at over 110 engagements last year, has been designated by Town and Country Magazine as the `best of the best'.

The Bob Hardwick Sound has played at parties for American presidents, British royalty and nobility, as well as a whole host of Hollywood celebrities.

Jacqueline Onassis and Elizabeth Taylor are among the famous names to book the popular entertainer.

Bob Hardwick's musical career began at the age of four in his native Louisville when he started playing piano by ear.

He studied piano at the University of Louisville School of Music and the Louisville Academy of Music, and continued his music studies at the Julliard School of Music and North Texas State University.

Tickets for the ball can be purchased for $125 from the Wedding Salon.
