a better understanding of tourism. According to acting teacher in charge, Mary Rance, the idea is to make the youngsters aware that the industry exists. "We are telling them that `Tourism is you. It's every one of us','' she explained.
"We are going to tell them that tourism is one of the pillars of our economy and try and explain to them why people come to Bermuda. We will also tell them of our tourist attractions, about some of the things that Bermuda is famous for, about keeping the environment nice for ourselves and our tourists and how they must be polite to visitors if they have an opportunity to meet them.'' An open house on the 25th, will display items related to tourism and on the 28th, a Southampton Princess chef will visit to explain his involvement in the industry to students. "We will also visit Pink Beach, just so they are aware of what a hotel is, what (it's) like, and what a hotel bedroom is like. It's hard because they are so young but hopefully we will make an impression.'' EDUCATION MONTH ED
