Jamaican groups perform
this weekend when they perform, along with local group "Magnum Force'', at the Number One shed on Saturday.
The concert, entitled "Veterans in Action'' will boast selections from long-time artists Rory Love and Johnny Guard.
Organisers Kuane Smith and Norman Godwin said the event will be an "explosive'' one to suit a wide range of tastes "for all ages''.
Mr. Godwin explained that Mr. Love had been "selecting'' for more than 25 years and would be incorporating experience of different music styles, including reggae and R&B, into the evening's line-up.
"He is one of the godfathers in the industry'', he said. "This will be the first major concert of the new Millennium and it's a special event because "Stone Love'' and "Bodyguard'' don't perform along side each other that much.
"It's been around five or six years since they were last here in Bermuda.'' Mr. Smith said highlights would include a dance contest, a door prize of a cellular phone for ticket holders and other special "gimmicks'' thrown in along the way.
Tickets for the concert, which will run this Saturday from 10 p.m onwards, are available at Dub City Records, Music World and The Sources 1 and 2.
If bought in advance they will cost $20 but they will be $25 at the door.
Mr. Smith added that "Stone Love'' is known to attract a lot of ladies to concerts and urged people to buy their tickets fast.
