Meeting Planners International (MPI) will be holding its first fall luncheon meeting on Wednesday, September 17 at Verdmont at 12.30 p.m.
There will be a tour of the house with a presentation by the Bermuda National Trust on "Learn how the Bermuda National Trust can Enhance your next event with Venues, Speakers, and Gifts''.
Bring a picnic lunch. Drinks and seating under a marquee will be provided.
MPI is an international organisation of meeting planners and suppliers. The Bermuda Chapter welcomes new members and enquiries may be directed to Jacqueline Horsfield (president elect) 238-3947.
There will be taxi shuttle service for members from Hamilton.
*** World renowned paediatrician, Dr. William Sears will be visiting Bermuda from September 24 through 28 where he will conduct public talks on Breastfeeding and Child Development at the St. Andrews Presbyterian Church Hall on the evenings of September 26 and 27 starting at 7 p.m.
Dr. Sears is the father of eight children, author of 22 books on child care and Assistant Clinical Professor of Paediatrics at the University of Southern California School of Medicine.
A paediatrician for 25 years, Dr. Sears received his paediatric training at Harvard Medical School's Children's Hospital in Boston and The Hospital for Sick Children in Toronto.
Dr. Sears is a medical and parenting consultant to many national magazines such as Redbook, Baby Talk and Parenting magazines.
Dr. Sears is a fellow of the American Academy of Paediatrics, and a fellow of the American Academy of Paediatrics, and a fellow of the Royal College of Paediatricians.
