Organised by the Ministry of Community and Cultural Affairs the book was launched this week at the Number One Shed in Hamilton.

The book was made up of interviews, transcriptions, writings and photographs from several Bermudians who contributed their time and memories to make the book possible.

Bermuda Recollections includes history of Bermuda's social life 50 years ago, how Bermudians spent their weekends, farming, horses and carriages and life in Bermuda during the Second World War.

Topics such as school days, whaling, old time games, types of entertainment, weddings, funerals, housewives and housework were also discussed.

The book is being sold for $35.
