Organiser Mr. Choy Aming said he wanted the fair to be more centrally located in the lead-up to Christmas.

The move would start right away and take several days, he said.

"The fair will be open again at the BAA field on Friday, and run for another two weeks.'' Mr. Ming said the 15-rides carnival, brought here by Canada's Echo Amusements, had proved a great success so far.

"Everything has gone very well and we've had some big crowds. We plan to have Christmas parties once we've moved to our new venue.'' Mr. Ming added he hoped Christmas shoppers would stop off at the carnival before returning home.

A BAA spokesman pointed out last night the fair would be on the practice area of the field -- not on the soccer pitch.

Last month, the fair was plagued by hooligans who smashed through security fencing, knocked about stereo equipment, and stole prizes.

Police were alerted after youngsters hell bent on causing trouble broke into the carnival without paying.

Security at the fair was tightened up.
