Millionaire set to wed in Bermuda
Lord White, is to tie the knot with long-term girlfriend Normandie Clinton Keith in Bermuda.
Mr. White -- who inherited a $60 million fortune when his father, a partner of fellow British industrialist Lord Hanson, died in 1995 -- maintains a home on the Island.
Ms Keith, a Park Avenue, New York-based divorcee and model, is to jet to the Island for the ceremony.
The banns were published for the first time last week in The Royal Gazette Lord White, who is buried in Bermuda, owned a home in Smith's which his son now occupies.
CHEAP SEATS ON SALE FLY Cheap seats on sale Bermuda's US carriers have announced early summer seat sales with prices as low as $329 for a ticket to New York.
Delta, Continental, American Airlines and US Airways are all offering discount fares on routes from the Island to various gateways across North America.
Mid-week prices start at $330 for Atlanta, $366 to Boston and $628 to Los Angeles, plus taxes. Weekend fares are slighter higher.
Tickets are for travel before June 15, and have to be booked by April 7.
WALK ROUTE ANOUNCED ENV CLB Walk route anounced Palm Sunday walkers will take to Warwick this year for the annual event.
The Bermuda National Trust, who are organising the walk, said they will hand out flyers outlining interesting features along the route.
The traditional walk attracts more than 2,000 people every year and provides participants with the opportunity to see some private areas normally out of bounds to the general public.
The route this year starts at 2 p.m. on April 16 on the South Shore, Warwick beaches, moves through Southlands Estate, Coral Beach and onto the Railway Trail and Ord Road.
Parking will be available at Chaplin Bay with overflow parking along the grass verge on South Shore Road west of Chaplin Bay.
HEALTH WEEK TO BEGIN HTH AWD Health Week to begin Public Health Week begins on Thursday as the Government seeks to raise awareness of HIV/AIDs, substance abuse, teenage pregnancies and road smashes.
Health Minister Nelson Bascome said the events would highlight programmes and activities on offer to health-conscious islanders.
But he added that Bermudians were already leading healthier and longer lives because they were more aware of how to take care of themselves.
INQUIRY LAUNCHED CTS Inquiry launched Probation officers have been ordered to look into the life of a Devonshire teen who stole a $1,800 auxiliary cycle with another person in November.
Magistrate Archibald Warner ordered a social inquiry report on Kiaune Michael Baisden last week after the 17-year-old admitted stealing Gavin Stevens' cycle.
Mr. Warner told Baisden: "Probation officers will interview you and your family. They are going to assist me in how to deal with you. They're going to look into your history and circumstances.'' Baisden admitted stealing the cycle out of Mr. Stevens' back yard with the other person on November 20.
He then stripped it in a wooded area near Vesey Street, Devonshire, leaving the frame and keeping many of the parts, but trading the engine.
Baisden was caught after a man was stopped on January 26 in a routine check and his cycle was found to have stolen parts.
Baisden -- who has no previous convictions -- approached Police, admitting the parts were stolen. The cycle frame was not recovered at the hideout.
He will return to court on May 12 for sentencing and was released on $500 bail with one surety.
