Bermuda.

California-based Will Geiger is on the Island promoting his latest release Ocean Tribe , which was an entrant in this year's Bermuda International Film Festival which wound up on Thursday night with an awards ceremony.

But the young director has been so impressed by Bermuda's natural beauty that he is spending all his spare time touring the Island looking for potential filming locations.

And he is also speaking to local historians to see if he can find a suitable story that he can transfer on to celluloid.

Renowned for his eye-catching cinematography, Mr. Geiger has been hired to write and direct two films for Sony Pictures by Oscar winning director Mike Medavoy.

Although he has already started work on one project Mr. Geiger is still searching for ideas for a second film -- and he believes Bermuda could provide him with the inspiration he needs.

He told The Royal Gazette : "My mother used to come here on vacation and she always used to come back and talk about Bermuda. "It's such a visually stunning place and when I got here I just thought that, if there's a good story here I'd like to film it.

"I think visuals are very important. Obviously you have to have a good story and dialogue and characters but if I was in a location that wasn't visually interesting then I wouldn't film there.''
