MP collapses in house
Party MP Mr. Walter Lister beamed from ear to ear as he attended his daughter Lisa's debutante ball at Sonesta Beach Hotel.
"I had to come out,'' Mr. Lister told The Royal Gazette last night after undergoing a series of necessary tests at King Edward VII Memorial Hospital.
Mr. Lister, who represents Sandys South, experienced a brief black-out when he returned to the House around 2 p.m. to pick up his cycle and helmet.
He was rushed to the hospital by ambulance.
While Mr. Lister declined to disclose the reason for the black-out, he said "it was nothing serious''.
However, he admitted that this had never happened to him before and he was concerned at the time.
But, Mr. Lister said, this would not spoil his weekend.
"I have a couple of public functions to do tonight,'' he said. "It will be business as usual.'' Mr. Lister thanked all who assisted him.
