Southampton Poinciana Pathfinders was founded in 1950 for ten to 15-year-old boys and girls and each Halloween the members are encouraged to go door to door collecting cans of food instead of candy.

This year 100 cans of food were collected and turned over to the Community Services Department of the Southampton Seventh Day Adventist Church to be sorted into food hampers and distributed to needy families.

The troop is led by director Arthur Raynor, counsellors Patrice Smith and Henry Gibbons and counsellor/treasurer Elena Raynor.

Troop members include Jakea Simons, Deja Smith, Nadiyah Brown, La'Troya Caines, Vernesha Simmons, Bryce Williams, Siobhan Brangman, Tierney Gibbons, Kaleah Simons, Tiffany-LaToya Smith and Samantha Crockwell.

Trick or treat: Members of the Southampton Poinciana Pathfinders scout troop show off the canned food they collected for needy families over Halloween.
