paid off for teachers and principals recently honoured by Government Ministers and education officials. A long service awards ceremony at the CedarBridge Academy was held for those with between 15 and 40 years of service in the public school system. The combined service total of the 24 award winners topped more than 1,000 years. The three guests who had reached the 40-year mark were Mrs. Gaynette Hayward, Mrs. Nathley Landy and Mrs. Sherlyn Jones.

Those paying tribute included Premier Jennifer Smith and Education Minister Milton Scott.
