Mr. Christopher Ondaatje as he cuts the ribbon at the opening of the new Ondaatje Wing of the Bermuda National Gallery.

The $250,000 wing, which will house the Historical Ber mudiana Collection, has been named after the Canadian financier who footed the bill for the addition.

Last Thurs day's opening also saw the launch of Mr. Ondaatje's new book, "The Man-Eater of Punanai,'' the proceeds of which are to be donated to the Masterworks Foundation.
