during celebrations to commemorate Labour Day on September 6.

Marchers will include members of Bermuda's amalgamated unions and they will be led by the band of the Bermuda Regiment.

The march, beginning at 11.30 a.m., will follow a route through Hamilton, starting at Union Square, just off Court Street and ending up at Bernard Park.

Also scheduled for the day is a road race in which almost 100 runners are expected to participate. The race, made up of runners from Swan's Running Club, begins at 9 a.m. at the Transport Control Department on North Street.

It will follow a five-mile route through the city, ending up at Union Square where a prize presentation will take place.

As a result, Union Street, between Dundonald and Victoria streets, will be closed off between 7:30 and 11:30 a.m. In addition, several other streets are likely to be closed and Police will be out directing traffic in order to cope with the changes.
