Positive discipline shows results at Warwick Academy

second class honours last year, and 50 school wide reached the highest levels of discipline.

The Honours list numbers are a significant increase attributed to Headmaster Robert Lennox's introduction of the Positive Discipline Programme in which young people are encouraged to do their best at all times, both academically and personally.

All efforts in the school and community are logged and rewarded with commendations and during the school year bronze, silver, and gold certificates and the ultimate prize of a Diploma of Excellence are awarded.

The scheme is sponsored by the Bank of Bermuda and the 50 at the Diploma level got a bank account for $100.

Mr. Lennox introduced the scheme at Warwick Academy after running it at his last school in Berkshire, England.

David Lang, vice president, Trust Manager of the Bank, its affiliated Charitable Trust applauded the students, adding: "Encouraging positive discipline amongst Bermuda's youth can only reap future benefits for these students and our community.''
