More than 40 of its students have joined the Seventh Day Adventist school's new Leo Club.

Headed by president Jade Darrell, the new club was installed by The District Governor of New York-Bermuda, Howard C. Norris.

During the induction ceremony late last year at the Southampton SDA Church, Mr. Norris spoke about what it means to be a Leo Club member and its workings in the community.

He also gave the students words of advice and encouragement.

Paget Lions Club president Ivan Smith, along with Somers Lioness Club president Edna Dill, pinned the new officers. They then proceeded outside for picture taking and the distribution of their Leo Club member pins.

Bermuda Institute development director Frigga Simmons was also congratulated on the appointment as the Bermuda Institute Leo Club liaison and advisor officer.

Also attending the ceremony was Bermuda Zone chairman Dudley Cottingham, Paget Lions Club secretary Brad Woodings, Lioness Flora M. Trott from the Sandys Lions Club, and Lion Dessie Waldron who was instrumental in the forming of the Bermuda Institute Leo Club and has been appointed as an advisor for Paget Lions Club.
