`Reconciling races' show tonight

extravaganza at City Hall tonight in a hope to attract a wider cross-section of the community to the show and the association.

"We are hoping to attract an audience as varied as Bermuda society,'' NAR founder and educator Dr. Eva Hodgson said, "because we believe that something should be done about racism in Bermuda. It is a matter of concern that it has been taboo to talk about race relations for the past ten or more years.'' It is hoped that tonight's show (7:30 p.m.) called "We Are Bermuda'', will be the beginning of reconciling races in Bermuda. The show will feature a variety of music including gospel, jazz, classical, and folk music. Among those performing will be Berkeley Institute gospel choir, folk singer Mr. Andy Barret, classical clarinet player and winner of the 1990 Festival for the Performing Arts Award Mr. Mark Lomas, and local comedian Bootsie.
