In addition to founding Red Cross International, Dunant was the first recipient of the Nobel Peace Prize in 1901.

The local Red Cross organisation today has booths in the lobby of the Bank of Bermuda on Front Street, Washington Mall, both Hamilton locations of Bank of Butterfield and at Miles Market.

Red Cross pins will be handed out as well as brochures, membership forms, blood, organ and tissue donor information. The booths will also be selling first aid kits and tickets for the Bermuda Red Cross annual dinner/dance.
