The 48-year-old man was found unconscious on Middle Road in Southampton, about 50 yards east of Jews Bay between 10 and 10.30 p.m last Saturday.

On Wednesday, Police appealed for a mystery rider who may have witnessed the suspected foul play against Mr. Rogers to come forward.

The motorcycle rider may have seen suspicious activity around 10 p.m. Saturday or saw Mr. Rogers after he sustained his injuries.

The individual should contact Det. Insp. Earl Kirby at 234-1010.

But Police have received some help with their investigation. An unidentified man has spoken to Police regarding the suspicious circumstances surrounding the incident.

"I'm not nervous,'' she said. "When I was at home I spoke at Purvis and Warwick Academy.'' Miss Darrell said she planned to remind the students how lucky they were to have good universities in their country.

"The majority of my speech will be about education and how they have it in their own backyard and Bermudians don't,'' she explained. "We have to go abroad for university. They are so fortunate and should take full advantage of it.'' And she said she would devote some of her address to the dangers of cigarette smoking. "I see a lot of young people doing it up here and I want to talk to them about it.'' BDC received approval from the Development Applications Board to erect a 40-foot monotube tower with two 12-foot antennas, and one 24-inch parabolic dish at 8 Daisyfield Drive, Sandys Parish.

The equipment will be placed on foundation pads and surrounded by an eight-foot fence.

Approval was granted with condition that the equipment be removed and the site restored to its former state if the facility remains unused for six months.

The firm is building similar facilities around the Island. BDC plans to launch its telecommunications network by July.

DEVONSHIRE TEEN HURT IN KNIFE ATTACK CRM Devonshire teen hurt in knife attack A Devonshire teenager suffered serious facial injuries in a Thursday knife attack.

Police spokesman P.c. Gary Venning said Police investigating an assault on the 19-year-old teen by a man known to the victim.

The attack took place shortly after 5 p.m. Thursday at Devon Springs Road in Devonshire after the teen became embroiled in an altercation with another man.

P.c. Venning said the teen suffered injuries believed to have been inflicted by a knife.

He was taken to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital where he received 17 stitches to the face and shoulder.
