Singing out

Hamilton's City Hall on February 15, at noon. About 33 children, ages 7-10, pictured at right, composed the choir under the direction of music teacher, Kim Simmons.

The delightful voices, accompanied by the piano, began with "Somewhere Over the Rainbow'' followed by Mozart's, "Ave Verum.'' Ms. Simmons introduced several Negro Spirituals which the children joyfully sang without the piano: "Wade in the Water'', "I Couldn't Hear Nobody Pray''.

They concluded with a lively Nova Scotia folk song by Mary Goetze, "The Old Carrion Crow''.
