as its name implies, as a place where all the various staff who are not faculty can come together.

Under the chairmanship of Jon Carey the association works mostly to boost morale through organising and engaging in social activities. "The quality and calibre of our support staff is excellent, far above the norm.'' Mr. Carey attested.

The Association was formed at the request of the College President, Dr. George Cook about five years ago.

"Our members do sit on various committees throughout the campus.'' said Mr.

Carey as he explained the vital and varied roles of the sixty members. "They include some staff from Stonington Beach Hotel, Information Services, the library, secretarial and custodial.'' Mr. Carey hopes the Association will provide scholarships for students entering Information Services and secretarial programmes at the Bermuda College.

Hall of learning: Bermuda College plays a vital role in our community.
