Speaking at the weekly Hamilton Lions lunch yesterday, Mrs. Burns said education was the key in improving the quality of life of patients with incurable diseases.

Mrs. Burns added the facility not only cared for the sick, but also offered comfort and advice for relatives of the dying.

Mrs. Burns, a trained nurse, said although Agape House opened in the early 1990s as a result of the AIDS epidemic, the majority of patients using the facility had been diagnosed with cancer.
