GOLF GLF The Bermuda Golf Association Amstel Summer League was confined to the `A' Division on Saturday at Belmont.

Under wet conditions the Ocean View I team performed with their four scoring players all shooting in the low 70s as follows: Joe Lambert (70), Roger Harvey (72) and Chalmers Talbot and Leroy Burt both on 74 for a team total of 290 strokes, which gave them a comfortable win on the day over Mid Ocean.

This coming Saturday sees the Amstel Summer League taking a break as Amstel will hold its annual one-day tournament at Port Royal. SNOOKER SNO The Super Six Invitational Snooker Tournament will commence play tomorrow night.

Competing in this year's summer tournament will be defending champions National Sports Club, Police Recreation Club and two teams each from Old Colony Club and Queens Club.

Two format changes have been announced. On the first and last nights of the competition, all matches will be played at Old Colony Club and the other change is that the high break point must start with a red ball.

Tomorrow at 7.30 at OCC, Nationals will face Police, Queens I take on Queens II and OCC I play OCC II.

TENNIS TEN Dinah Maxwell of Southampton, New York, and Anthony Weldon of Bermuda defeated the local pair of Shirley and Karl Wildi to win the Coral Beach weekly round robin on Sunday.

The Howard Trophy Member/Guest Tournament will be held on July 5. It will be a mixed doubles round-robin event. Entries should be directed to tennis pro Derek Singleton.
