They were accused of being more cheap than chic before a packed house including children.

One protester even claimed she witnessed a cavorting couple pretending to have oral sex.

And others spoke of models clad in body suits rubbing themselves as they danced across the catwalk.

But yesterday organisers strongly denied crossing the borderline at the Sunday night fashion show.

And they claimed the moaners were getting steamed up over nothing.

"We appreciate them having their fantasies -- but not at our expense,'' scoffed Mrs. Judith Burgess, owner of Court Street fashion store Uniquely Terry's.

She denied anything improper happened, adding: "The crowd was screaming and clapping.

"People have said what a great show it was. I never received any complaints.'' Mrs. Burgess said most of the audience were aged between 17 and 50.

Up to 200 people crammed upstairs into The Spinning Wheel for the controversial show. It featured male and female models from Uniquely Terry's and nearby Zig Zag.

To a throbbing reggae beat, they paraded cat suits, slinky dresses, and tight-fitting jeans.

But several women, who asked not to be named, yesterday voiced outrage, particularly at the show's grand finale. And they pointed an accusing finger at models from Uniquely Terry's.

"A guy got down on the ground, and a woman got on top of him,'' one protester said.

"They were having simulated oral sex. There were children in the crowd, and some people were stunned. They could not believe what was happening.'' She added she saw other models "pumping'' -- pretending to have sex.

Another protester said: "It was degrading. I did not appreciate it at all.

They were throwing themselves all over the place. There was no nudity, but it got out of hand.'' One woman complained: "It was ridiculous.'' She said she had paid $15 for a ticket. "I would like my money back.'' Mr. Darren (Butch) Burchall, however, who was also there, said he found nothing shocking.

He admitted one part of show was explicit -- but was not out of the ordinary.

"It was nothing worse than what you see on TV,'' he said.

Mr. Burchall added it was no racier than some of pop megastar Michael Jackson's on-stage antics. Jackson constantly grabs his crotch while performing.
