Club president Mr. Eddie Correia said Police officers had brought back the machines and told him no charges would be laid against the Hamilton club.
Officers said the game machines had contravened the club's liquor licence, but were not illegal, he said.
They did not give out cash prizes when played, Mr. Correia noted, rather tokens which were redeemable at the bar for drinks.
"They were nothing like the ones in Las Vegas, they just offered members a little fun,'' he said.
But Mr. Correia said the club had decided to get rid of all six machines anyway to avoid any future trouble.
A Police spokesman could not be contacted for comment last night.
