Concert with the Wayzata Youth Orchestra in collaboration with the Menuhin Foundation Youth Orchestra, the Suzuki School of Music Orchestra and violinist Nicola Francis.
And Dunbarton will also be holding a Solo Youth Virtuoso Concert with Evan, Anderson, concertmaster of Wayzata Orchestra and Tyken Hseih, guest pianist from Cincinnati, Ohio.
Fourteen-year-old Nicola Francis enjoys playing both violin and piano and has been studying the violin since she was four-years-old.
She was featured last November in the Premier's Concert and was guest artist at the St. Paul's AME Church Christmas concert among several other performances.
The March 23 concert will be held at the Cathedral of the Most Holy Trinity, 7.30 p.m. Tickets $25 patron, $15 adults and $5 student available at Dunbarton School of Music, Opus 1, Meyer Agencies, Ltd. and Pianos Plus. The concert on Tuesday March 25 will be held at 7.30 p.m. in the Saltus Senior High School Auditorium. Admission free and open to the public.
*** The Saltus Senior year is putting on a flashy fashion show this Friday and Saturday night with the theme being `Stepping Out'.
The annual show which is organised by the students themselves will be held in the Senior School Hall.
All the clothing items in the show have been borrowed from retail stores in Hamilton.
The students are trying to raise money for their graduation to help with the expenses of a graduation dinner etc.
Saltus's Dan Blagg said the fashion show is a hit every year and the students really have fun with it with surprise skits.
Both shows will start at 8 p.m. Tickets $10 for adults and $6 for students.
*** As part of its mandate to provide excellence in education to the Bermuda community the Bermuda College is pleased to join the Bermuda Association for the Advancement of Science and Technology (BAAST) in presenting the first of a new lecture series.
At 6 p.m. this evening Dr. David Malmquist with his thought provoking facts and insights for the public, will speak about aspects of the twin pillars of Bermuda's economy Tourism and the insurance side of International Business.
His topic will be `The Rick Predictive Initiative', dialogue between climate scientists and insurance premiums, and the weather.
The lecture will take place Bermuda College New Hall Lecture Theatre -- N100, members $2, public $5.
