A passport to Bermuda!
during their stay.
The Heritage Passport is the latest weapon in the fight to re-establish tourism and is aimed at enticing vacationers into eight of the Island's museums.
It is being sold on cruise ships, tourist bureaus and being marketed as part of eco-tourism holidays to Bermuda -- giving visitors a slice of Island life.
Launching the $35 ticket, Tourism Minister David Allen said the ticket fitted perfectly with the department's plans to sell ecological tourism and would help put the Bermudian identity back into tourism.
The department gave a grant for the project, which enables people to visit the Maritime Museum, National Gallery, Bermuda Underwater Exploration Institute, Aquarium, Fort St. Catherine, Verdmont, Tucker House and the Globe Hotel.
The one price enables them to visit as many times as possible. There is a reduced cost for children, both of which save on normal admission prices.
National Trust director Amanda Outerbridge said the passport, in its third year, was the best yet.
It had been well received by the overseas tourism marketing teams and was also being used by many hotels to help sell winter heritage holidays.
It is sold on board the Nordic Empress , at Visitor Service Bureaus and the Hamilton Princess.
