Audubon Society holds AGM

*** The Bermuda Business & Professional Women's Club gears up for `Celebrating Our Musical Heritage'.

The $30 buffet dinner will be held on Saturday from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Ocean View Golf Club.

Musicians Charles Bascome, George Smith, Dan Rawlins, Charles (Jiggs) Douglas, Alphaeus (Arti) Black, Ray And Vince Ratteray, Gene Steede, Cromwell Miles Manders and Ron Lightbourne, amongst others will be honoured.

*** Get out your walking shoes and limber-up those joints, the Bermuda Health Alliance is hosting an East End Fun Walk.

The three-kilometre Fun Walk will take place Tuesday, June 20 in association with Heritage Nights in St. George's.

Registration, which is a $5 donation to benefit health care, will begin at 6 p.m. Awards and prizes will be handed out after the event.

*** The Bermuda Academy of Music presents the world premiere of Millennium Symphony, conducted by the composer Graham Garton.

The event will feature Mezzo Soprano Janet Budden, the Academy Chorus, with voices from Virginia Commonwealth University and Toronto Camerata, and the Symphony Orchestra. The local players will be supplemented by musicians from the University at Richmond, Va and from the UK.

The June 25 Symphony will take place at St. John's Church in Pembroke at 8 p.m.

Tickets are $25 for adults, $15 for seniors and student and are available at The Harbourmaster, Pianos Plus and Choir Members.
