Charity hopes to raise money with Bermuda-themed calling cards
Bermuda-themed international calling cards will be offered in hopes of raising funds for a local charity. FKB-Transact is to offer the cards, which will feature such Bermudians as Olympic diver Katura Horton-Perinchief and entertainers Sia Spence and McCartney Darrell.
A percentage from the sale of each card will be donated to Answering the Cry of the Poor (ANCOP) Bermuda.
The charity raises money to build homes for poverty stricken people in the Philippines.
With that in mind, FKB-Transact has also created a $20 calling card that features members of the Filipino community.
The cards will be sold at the company's hospitality stall at Cup Match.
Said managing director Troy Symonds: "We are excited to be hosting this event as we'd like families to stop by our stall, enjoy some goodies and mingle with the Bermudian and Filipino community who've graced our calling cards."
In addition, 100 percent of the revenue made from those who sign up with FKB-Transact during the first month will be donated to ANCOP.
