Climb for freedom today!

Rock climbers will take part in a special challenge today – one aimed at ending modern day slavery.

The Climb for Freedom will take place at the Olympic Club climbing wall in Hamilton today from noon until the evening with climbers aiming to reach the cumulative height of Mount Everest – 29,000 feet, said organiser Charlotte Wilberforce.

Earlier this year, hundreds of people joined in the Run For Freedom on Front Street which raised thousands of dollars for international anti-slavery charity Stop the Traffik and Bermuda's the Coalition for the Protection of Children.

Today's event, being held in conjunction with the Olympic Club, is open to anyone and all donations are welcome.
