Contest will set Bermuda alight
part in its annual Festival of (Christmas) Lights contest.
As judges' had difficulty in picking winners from the "wonderful displays'' last year, there will be no national winners.
Belco spokesman Greg Engel said there will be a commercial winner and a first, second, and third place residential prize for the west, central and east areas of the Island.
In addition, the amount of money to be donated to the winners' chosen charities will be doubled.
Sponsors Belco and BF&M Insurance Group will donate $1,000, $750, and $500 to the first, second, and third prize winners, respectively, of the residential category.
And $750 will go to each commercial winner in the east, west, and central regions.
The above amounts will also be matched and go to the winners' chosen charities.
The deadline for entries is Monday, December 1.
Entry forms, which were sent out with Belco statements this month and last month, can also be collected at BF&M Insurance Group's office on Pitt's Bay Road and at any Belco location.
A list of the winners and all entrants will be published in The Royal Gazette on December 15.
